| It all started in 1944 when Ghislain
Mahy decided to buy the body of a Ford T for a modest sum of 150 Belgian
Francs. The salesman offered him a 4-cylinder F.N. motorcycle as an
incentive. |

The collection grows in size over the years and Ghislain Mahy constituted
himself a dream fleet -about 250 American cars dating back to
all periods, 200 French cars, 70 English cars, 100 German cars, 50
Italian cars, and the list continues. The most significant and varied
collections of the world thus came into existence.
It is important not to forget the Belgian production,
of which several makes figured in the Mahy collection. |
| In their workshop, Ghislain Mahy
and his sons revived vehicles of all ages and makes, with a
precision comparable to that of a surgeon and to a practical
sense of great mechanics. Missing or defective parts were repaired
with the help of salvaged or manufactured ones. As if by miracle,
some real wrecks were resurructed. And all the cars which came
out of the workshop were ready to be admired by car-lovers from
world over. |
