The first oil crisis in 1973 brought an end to the golden 60s. The first emission standards were set and for the first time a lot of attention went to safety, with for example the introduction of the airbag and the development of the crashtest.
However, this did not prevent the Italian designers and engineers to build some exceptional cars. Few sports cars in this period used to have such a great names and so many horsepower. England had the perfect reply for this Italian legendary cars with the Jaguar E – Type.
The Lamborghini Miura P400 SV , the fastest version ever on track and trend setter for the sporty two-seater mid-engined. The Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada of which only 140 cars were built, while the Ferrari 330 GTC, according to experts, the most ”round” Ferrari of all time. In this list fits as well the De Tomaso Pantera, the most successful car of this Italian manufacturer. Whoever swears by British sports cars, can’t ignore the Jaguar E -Type V12 Roadster back. An AC Cobra Roadster Shelby will complete this small but legendary range.
