'La bella macchina' is the centre of attention in our museum for two months starting 3 December 2015.
That’s the theme of our next big exhibition, comparable to that devoted to Ferdinand Porsche(s) during the winter of 2012/2013.
In a decor that recalls the unique ambience of an Italian city, fifty Italian autos from the golden era of the Italian auto, from the fifties to the eighties, have been brought together for the enjoyment of visitors. One of the high points is a rare 1954 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante and the recent remake that has just been produced by Touring Superleggera.
Manufacturers like Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Lancia and Alfa Romeo constantly vied in ingenuity at that time to give their engines even higher performance. Designers and coachbuilders like Pininfarina, Bertone, Gandini, Giugiaro, Zagato, Spada and Touring Superleggera were in demand everywhere, even far beyond Italy. The Italian image acquired a worldwide prestige that knew no equal.
Today, too, cars from Italy still fascinate a great many people. They have become synonymous with passion, elegance and la dolce vita, but also with extremes and a lust for life.
At Autoworld we are naturally not insensitive to so much charm, and throughout the year you can discover our new promotional car for this exhibition, a Ferrari Testarossa from Pininfarina (1991) ... Only the best is good enough!
