From November 29th to December 1st, 2024, the third edition of the BEL Prizes will take place at Autoworld Brussels, organized by Brussels Expertise Labels (BEL). This edition is themed "When Expertise Meets Art", in line with the ongoing exhibition "When Automotive Design Becomes Art".

A unique experience of innovation and artistic expression at Autoworld Brussels

Where Brussels expertise and the creative scene meet

The BEL Prizes 2024 highlight the collaboration between BEL members and creative professionals. This temporary exhibition immerses you in the fascinating world of Brussels expertise, where exceptional craftsmanship and artistic creativity go hand in hand (ceramists, painters, sculptors, visual artists, schools, architectural firms, engineers...). Combined with our current exhibition, it offers visitors a captivating experience where art and technology meet.

Among the many works presented during this ephemeral exhibition, we will find creations marking the following artistic collaborations: Bouvy and the CAD Brussels, Corica and Margaux Baert, Cubex and Manook, Direct Way Worldwide and Jean-Paul Gaultier, Dominique Rigo and Louis de Fabribeckers, Hall of Time and Philippe Geluck, and more.

For this edition, Autoworld is collaborating with Belgian cartoonist Ever Meulen, who will showcase his own miniatures. His unique style adds a new perspective to the exhibition and emphasizes the connection between craftsmanship and art.

Ever Meulen, a pseudonym of Eddy Vermeulen, is a world-renowned illustrator who saw his career begin in 1970 at the weekly Humo magazine. That Ever bought an Oldsmobile with the money from his first published illustrations, a green one like all his subsequent cars, also says everything about Ever's heart for beautiful automobiles. That he got married into Autoworld equally so. Cars, music and architecture form the common thread throughout his inimitable and distinctive oeuvre, which would gain fame from Brussels to New York over Paris and Tokyo.
