Counting down to May 30: the floating DS Ballons joins our exhibition!

From May 30, Autoworld Brussels proudly welcomes an iconic piece of automotive art: the Citroën DS Ballons. First unveiled at the 1959 Paris Motor Show, this extraordinary creation was designed by Claude Puech, then Citroën’s publicity director.

Instead of wheels, this DS 19 in its original ‘Écaille Blonde’ orange shade rests on four giant balloons—a striking visual metaphor for the car’s legendary hydropneumatic suspension. The illusion? A car that seems to float, futuristic and weightless.

Whether you're passionate about design and innovation, or simply looking for a fun and inspiring thing to do in Brussels, this visionary concept is a must-see.

🗓 Save the date – May 30 – and come discover one of the most fascinating and timeless creations in automotive history. A unique experience for car enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

📍 On display in the temporary exhibition 'Citroën DS - An Icon Turns 70' at Autoworld Brussels.
