Roof work : Steady Progress

A little more patience and our museum will be like new. The Public Buildings Agency started the renovation work to the roof of the Autoworld museum on 1st February 2021. This is the third and penultimate phase of the renovation of the museums on the Cinquantenaire site.

A first section of the roof has already been entirely renovated and the new stained-glass windows allow the light to superbly illuminate the entire left side. Now time to tackle the right-hand side. Just a few more months and you will be dazzled!

Car in the box : Ferrari 275 GTB- 1966

The life-size Bburago boxes keep on coming but are never alike. It’s now the turn of the Ferrari 275 GTB from 1965 to fit into its “Box” in the heart of Autoworld.

This is a front-engined GT with two-seater coupé body designed by Pininfarina and produced between 1964 and 1968. Colombo designed 60° V12 engine. The 275 series were the first road-going Ferraris equipped with a transaxle and independent rear suspension. Among the greatest Ferraris of all time.

And, as usual, you will find his 1:24 scale Bburago miniature in our shop.

So many emotions this Sunday, 27th June following the lucky draw of the Beetle ’69 at Autoworld!

The winner, Alexandra Zech, was not present but very quickly arrived at the museum as soon as she had received the good news. Neither her partner nor she could believe their good fortune.
They called families and friends. The eyes were sparkling!  Disbelief was at a peak, closely followed by excitement and joy!

'Exhibitions' or 'Cars in the spotlight: what's the difference?

The exhibitions held by Autoworld in the course of the year are not all of the same order of magnitude. This is why we have decided to use two different names from now on for large and small exhibitions, so that visitors know exactly what to expect when they plan a visit to Autoworld.
