Defilé van historische voertuigen van de Rijkswacht

On Saturday 20 September 2025, the Belgian Emergency Vehicles Club held its 13th annual parade of historic vehicles from the police, gendarmerie, fire brigade, ambulances and civil protection services.

From 8:30 a.m., the vehicles gathered in Etterbeek before setting off at 9:30 towards the Cinquantenaire Park and Autoworld. They were displayed on the esplanade in front of the Army Museum, before continuing in the afternoon towards Waterloo and the Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean via Overijse.

Highlights included Minerva and Willys jeeps, FN-Ardennes troop transporters, Magirus-Deutz water cannons and Land Rovers. Iconic vehicles such as the ABT brigades’ Golf GTi, a VW Transporter fitted with radar equipment, and a Range Rover with “giraffe” warning lights were also part of the convoy.

Harley-Davidson motorcycles, ambulances and foreign police and civil protection vehicles joined the procession, which showcased the evolution of Belgium’s emergency services and their remarkable fleet.
