
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we pay tribute to two iconic women in rallying: Michèle Mouton and Fabrizia Pons. Their remarkable careers deserve recognition and continue to inspire many.

Mouton and Pons made history as the first all-female team to win a WRC rally. Driving their Audi Quattro, they secured a groundbreaking victory at the 1981 San Remo Rally and finished as vice-world champions in 1982 after winning three WRC events.

In 1987, they also claimed victory at the prestigious Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. After her racing career, Michèle Mouton remained active in motorsport, founding the Race of Champions and serving as president of the FIA Women’s & Motorsport Commission.Their legacy lives on, inspiring future generations.
